At dawn, a Five S Travel representative will collect you from your hotel in Hurghada and accompany you on a comfortable journey to Cairo aboard an air-conditioned bus.
Once you arrive in Cairo, your expert Egyptologist guide will greet you and lead you on an unforgettable full-day exploration of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Begin with a visit to the magnificent Great Pyramids of Giza:
- The Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), the oldest and largest pyramid in Egypt, and the only remaining wonder of the ancient world, originally standing 146 meters tall since its completion around 2570 BC.
- The Pyramid of Chephren (Khafre), the second tallest and second largest pyramid, which served as the tomb for Pharaoh Khafre, ruler of the Fourth Dynasty.
- The Pyramid of Menkaure (Mycerinus), the smallest of the three major pyramids on the Giza Plateau, believed to be the final resting place of Pharaoh Menkaure.
Then, marvel at the Great Sphinx, carved from a single block of limestone. This legendary statue, with the body of a lion and the face of a man resembling King Khafre, measures 70 meters in length and 20 meters in height.
Next, you will visit the renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, commonly known as the Egyptian Museum or Cairo Museum. Housing over 120,000 artifacts, this vast museum offers a comprehensive glimpse into ancient Egyptian history. You will see an impressive selection of items on display, with many more kept in storage. The museum, built in 1901 by an Italian company and designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon, is one of the largest and most important cultural institutions in the region. Optionally, you may explore the Royal Mummies’ room for an additional fee.
After completing your tour, your representative will accompany you back to the bus for the return journey to Hurghada, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
