Overnight Trip to Luxor from Sharm by Flight

Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, you will be greeted by a Five S Travel representative who will take you to your hotel for an overnight stay.

The following morning, your personal Egyptologist guide will collect you from your hotel in Luxor to begin a fascinating journey through some of the most iconic sites of ancient Egypt.

Travel comfortably in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to the West Bank of the Nile River to explore:

• The Valley of the Kings: This historic necropolis served as the final resting place for nearly all the pharaohs from the 18th to the 20th dynasties. Notable tombs include those of Tutankhamun, whose treasures amazed the world, as well as Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Ramses VI, Amenhotep II, and Merenptah. Depending on the tombs open at the time of your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore three of these ancient burial chambers.

• The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut: Also known as Deir El-Bahari, this remarkable temple was built for Queen Hatshepsut, the first known female ruler of Egypt who reigned for about two decades. This site showcases impressive architecture and offers insight into her unique legacy.

• The Colossi of Memnon: These two enormous statues represent Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who ruled during Egypt’s 18th Dynasty around 1350 BC. They stand majestically on the West Bank, guarding the entrance to what was once a vast mortuary temple complex.

Next, journey to the East Bank of the Nile to visit:

• The Karnak Temple Complex: One of the grandest and most ambitious construction projects of ancient Egypt, Karnak is an immense open-air museum with a vast array of temples and structures sprawling over 100 hectares.

• The Luxor Temple: Located in the heart of Luxor city on the East Bank, this magnificent temple features the famous first pylon built by Ramses II, adorned with scenes depicting his military triumphs, particularly the Battle of Kadesh.

After an enriching full-day exploration, you will be transported back to Luxor Airport for your domestic flight returning to Sharm El Sheikh.
