Full-Day Tour: Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum Experience

First, visit the Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), the sole surviving wonder of the ancient world, renowned as the oldest and largest pyramid in Egypt. When completed around 2570 BC, it soared to an impressive height of 146 meters.

Next, discover the Pyramid of Chephren (Khafre), the second tallest and second largest pyramid on the Giza Plateau. This monumental tomb was built for Pharaoh Khafre, who ruled during Egypt’s Fourth Dynasty around 2558–2532 BC.

Then, explore the Pyramid of Menkaure (Mycerinus), the smallest of the three main pyramids at Giza, located on the southwestern edge of the plateau. It is believed to be the final resting place of Pharaoh Menkaure, also from the Fourth Dynasty.

Continue your journey to see the legendary Great Sphinx, an impressive sculpture carved from a single stone. This majestic monument, with the body of a lion and the head of a man, stretches 70 meters long and stands 20 meters high. The Sphinx’s face is thought to resemble that of King Khafre.

After marveling at these ancient wonders, visit the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, commonly known as the Egyptian Museum or Cairo Museum. Housing over 120,000 artifacts, this museum showcases a vast collection of treasures from Egypt’s rich history. The building itself, designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon and completed in 1901, ranks among the largest museums in the region. Optionally, you may visit the Royal Mummies Room for an additional fee.
