Begin your day with an unforgettable journey into the heart of ancient Thebes.
In the early morning, a professional tour guide from Five S Travel will meet you at your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor. From there, you’ll travel in comfort aboard a private air-conditioned vehicle to the legendary West Bank of the Nile, home to some of Egypt’s most iconic archaeological treasures.
Your adventure starts with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, the eternal resting place of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs from the 18th to the 20th dynasties. This majestic valley holds dozens of elaborately decorated tombs, including those of Tutankhamun, Tutmosis I, Ramses VI, Amenhotep II, and others. You’ll have the chance to explore three of the open tombs available at the time of your visit, each offering a glimpse into the rich afterlife beliefs and artistry of ancient Egypt.
Next, head to the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari. Carved into the cliffs of the Theban mountains, this mortuary temple is a testament to one of Egypt’s most powerful women. Queen Hatshepsut ruled as pharaoh for nearly 20 years and left behind an architectural masterpiece that still inspires awe.
Continue to the imposing Colossi of Memnon, two towering statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood guard for over 3,000 years. These massive seated figures, rising nearly 18 meters high, are the last remnants of a once-grand mortuary temple.
After this enriching experience, your guide will return you to your hotel or Nile cruise, leaving you with lasting memories of the pharaohs’ splendor and a deeper appreciation for Egypt’s ancient heritage.
